All Roads Lead to Milan

Milan, when you look closely, is a small city. Its beating heart is not confined to the elegant streets of the center: it is also – and perhaps above all – defined by what surrounds it.

“All Roads Lead to Milan” is a photographic journey through the main access routes of an ever-evolving city.
The project explores the margins, those streets and ring roads that once marked the boundary between the countryside and the metropolis, and now serve as gateways to uncertain and often fragmented urban realities.
Not just transit routes, but symbolic frontiers.
Here, among futuristic residential areas and abandoned warehouses, between remnants of social housing and gleaming shopping centers, a different Milan takes shape
Begun in October 2024, this project is my visual journey on the margins of the city, the images trace a melancholic and ironic Milan, far from the glossy stereotype of the fashion capital.
