The columns of the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina are true "Pillars of Time." Constructed in the early 5th century BCE, these twenty-foot-tall Doric columns anchor the structure not just physically, but historically. Their simple, sturdy form is a testament to the enduring strength and foundational beauty of classical Greek architecture, perfectly encapsulating a moment of architectural perfection. Although the pillars have withstood the test of time, they show visible signs of time and weather.
