Porte Saint Martin sur scène
Porte Saint Martin sur scène
The Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, is a unique place that was originally conceived as a location to host the Paris Opéra under the order of Marie-Antoinette in 1781. Built just in two months and inaugurated in front of the queen, it was destroyed by a fire during the Paris Commune and replaced with a new building designed by the architect Oscar de la Chardonnière in 1881. The interiors keep their elegance with a French touch: the stage, the red seats in the audience, the curved domes in the balconies, the decorated ceiling, everything meshes to create an immersive place to tell histories to live and enjoy by the magic of the drama.
