The White Heron
The White Heron
This picture has been taken with a smartphone in Himeji, Japan.
“The White Heron” is the nickname of Himeji Castle, the largest and most visited castle in Japan.
It was founded in 1333 and, for almost 700 years, it remained intact despite some natural disasters. It also came out undamaged from the bombing of Himeji in World War II and it was registered in 1993 on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Author
Former biologist and painter I am a passionate amateur photographer. Born in Italy, I now live in France. Everything I know about photography is self-educated. I’m mostly brawn to architecture and street photography. And even if my work has already received multiple international awards, I constantly try to learn how to improve it and express myself through it.
