Frozen Flowers

Project Frozen Flowers is a series of portraits of flowers frozen beneath the surface of water. I created compositions in water, where the dropping temperature shaped the flowers, altered their tones, and added elements, while the colors of petals poured into the water contributing to the final portrait. I love this collaboration of two natural elements opposite yet influencing each other to create this artistic mosaic. I used light to emphasize the final result, but also stepped back to observe and document it.
