Accidental
Accidental
Oleg Gant – Lithuania
In my work, I do not strive to capture the decisive moment. On the contrary, I seek to seize the transitions—the fleeting shifts as events and phenomena move from one state to another. These subtle, often imperceptible motions transform both us and the world around us.
I am not interested in preserving life in sharp focus, but rather in its softness, its ambiguity, its blur. I aim to capture not moments, but memories—fragments of time that linger, altered by perception and emotion.
I call my style “Accidentalism” because one can never truly predict what will be revealed when looking at the finished image.
