The SQUARE project gives people a voice - literally. And a face. 57 people in Bremen talk about their lives, their fears, their vision - about the fact that democracy cannot be taken for granted and that each individual has the power to positively influence their lives.
Square is an urban voice installation with visual photo and video accompaniment.

Author
Janine Baumeister is a film producer, owns his own production company since 2007 and is a real Berliner. In 2021 She startet the project Eyes on Concrete while having her production office in the middle of a huge construction site. She was curious about the people behind the fence and picked up the camera herself - for the first time. Her passion for photography and the power of telling a personal stories through a portraits is growing ever since, so she is working currently on different portrait series to give people a face & a voice.
