What happens in these spaces? They have a mighty architecture, are wide and high, but the people seem powerless and lonely. But they are not prisoners because there is an exit in every room. For the viewer it can mean imprisonment but also a path to freedom. So these spaces are material and spiritual spaces at the same time. It can also be seen as a metaphor about our human existence.
