Under The Sky

My photo project "Under The Sky" is about love, loneliness, and moving on. I wanted to depict the moment when someone is left alone with their thoughts and sadness. I also wanted the photographs to resemble an Arthouse film, where everyone can identify themselves and their loved ones. There is a belief in a parallel existence where the concept of death does not exist at all. Our loved ones become our guardians or angels who are always with us. In fact, this is the magic of life, to survive different situations, different emotions, ups and downs. We face difficult situations so that afterwards we can truly enjoy and appreciate the moments of happiness. Through hardship we maintain the ‘taste’ of life the desire to live. To survive. Art is not only about creating beautiful works, but also representing what is true and transient. Do you agree?...

Sabina Grams was born in Riga, Latvia, and has been living and working in Germany since 2010. Alongside her artistic practice, she works as a commercial photographer in a photography and design studio in Nebra. She holds both a Bachelor´s and a Master´s degree from the Latvian Academy of Art. Since 2001, her works has been shown in numerous exhibitions across Europe. Her photographs have also received nominations in international photography competitions, including the ND Awards, Chromatic Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, and the Color Awards by Dodho Magazine.
