Children Solaris
Children Solaris
"Children Solaris" is a project comprising three conceptual photographs, depicting multicultural subjects and symbols, including those from Palestine, Ukraine, Canada, and Colombia. Setting a grieving tone, through dark and faded colors, the series pays tribute to the direct and indirect victims of violence worldwide, especially those of the Palestinian Genocide. Embedded in this concept, the astrological phenomenon of the solar eclipse, adds a layer of mysticism and uniqueness to the project.
From its Greek root "ekleípein" (Eclipse) - to leave out, abandon, cease, be obscured (of a celestial body), our ancestors had multiple explanations for a solar eclipse, some like celestial lovers or enemies.
This unique natural phenomenon's origins and ancient mythical beliefs seem to resemble our humanitarian crisis here on Earth. It is as if our "humanity" has abandoned us, and our respect for life has left our hearts
for practical reasons, I am submitting only the main piece of my series.
