Ciels, variations #1

Variations #1 is a first step in a reflection through abstraction on the foundation of photography. The capture of light at a precise moment making sense. The light being the last rays of sun reflecting on clouds, captured in multiple abstractions. The large formats (80x120cm) allow the viewer to fully immerse in a mixture of abstract shapes and colors that seem unreal and quite common at the same time.
In contradiction with the classic landscape and its horizontal format, these "Skies" are revealed exclusively vertically, without reference points or human trace. Captured without exoticism, systematically from the same place, facing East. If it is not ideal to admire the sun itself and its last rays on earth, and declining them in a postcard, it is the ideal theater where to appreciate the reverse shot and the fragile and fleeting reflections on the clouds, opening to the spectator an infinite field of visions, interpretations, emotions.
