Witness - Mount Hagen Cultural Show
Witness - Mount Hagen Cultural Show
Vibrant tribal cultures that have remained unchanged for probably centuries in one of the most remote corners of the globe; Papua New Guinea.
The Mount Hagen Cultural Show was first staged in the 1950's, before PNG's Independence, by the first European settlers in the Highlands to encourage enemies of different clans to gather to reconcile group animosities but since then the show has become one of Papua New Guinea's most important tribal events as well as Goroka show.
It offers an incredible opportunity for you to discover the tribal diversity of this country.
I had the amazing opportunity as a tourist to witness the fabulous sight of thousands of painted warriors dancing, and singing, to the beat of local drums including mud men.
The spectacular celebration of Mt. Hagen Cultural festival is one of the very important annual and tribal festivals in PNG.
The color of their daily life is already very colorful, but it will be more colorful with the biggest vibe for the annual festival.
