Metamorphic

The beginning stages of metamorphosis as I let go of what was and what I thought was meant to be. Today I accept that my life and my dreams are suspended like a chrysalis while my tears wash down the drain. Every bone in my body is riddled with grief but I am holding on to hope that my wings will grow bigger and brighter than before. One day I will know who I am and where I am meant to be but today I am meant to be here, crying in the shower.

I am a self-taught award winning photographer from Melbourne Australia specialising in black and white family photojournalism and environmental portraiture.
The art of family photojournalism and environmental portraiture developed organically as I built my technical skills by documenting everyday life of my family and friends. I fell in love with the candid expressions and authenticity of family photojournalism which drove my passion for turning “ordinary moments” into meaningful works of art.
Once I began training my eyes to be literate in the poetic dance between light and shadow, black and white photography became somewhat of an obsession and a point of focus in the evolution of my photography journey. It is now what I exclusively do!
Aside from photography I enjoy travel and have a keen interest in Hawaiian culture. I also enjoy interior design and I am a huge dog lover!
