Sound of silence
Sound of silence
"Sound of Silence" is a photographic journey that unveils the tragic and silent heart of the devastating impact of "ghost nets" and the uncontrolled hunting of sharks. These abandoned fishing nets, scattered across the world's seas, become invisible chains binding and threatening marine life. Every year, over 640,000 tons of "ghost nets" are lost in the vast ocean depths. This project is not just a glimpse into the vulnerability of trapped marine life but a visual indictment of a disconcerting reality. The uncontrolled exploitation of the oceans jeopardizes a broad spectrum of creatures, with sharks in a particularly precarious position. Their disappearance is a factor contributing to the deterioration of our oceans. "Sound of Silence" is more than a look at the suffering of marine inhabitants; it's an urgent appeal to reverse the course of this environmental crisis.
