This series concerns consumerism. Packaging especially raised many issues in day-to- day life. Creating without generating more waste makes sense. Questioning the impact it has on nature and the heritage left for future generations.
Collecting disposed packing materials to create sculptural shapes. By integrating them into a natural environment a new creature is born with a certain ambiguousness. “By creating these images, inventing a new scenario I question the possibilities of a way out, a solution, our capacity to accept a sullied world but also what our chances are to put a stop to it. In day-to-day life my wav of consuming systematically raises questions and challenges me.”

Author
Dutch photographer living in France since 1990. As she grew up in Pakistan and India, light and color filled her eyes. They became vitally essential to her. Family road-trips throughout her youth influenced her photography later. At fifteen, she borrows her father's camera. Generally attracted to creative activities takes her to the school of arts in Maastricht where her interest turns to sculpture. She moves to France in 1990. Since her arrival photography slowly became a necessity and she decides to do nothing else. She spends 5 years assisting fashion photographers in which she acquires experience and technical knowledge in the studio and commercial photography. Art and travel have influenced her personal and professional work. To create her image she stages the different elements in a defined space. Thus creating narrative.
