Nordic Lights captures the tranquil hues and ethereal light of Icelandic countryside. Invoking a sense of serene stillness, the artist plays with light, shapes, and composition to reveal the mystical landscape.

Kijoo developed a penchant for photography, early on in life after discovering her dad’s film camera and magazine editorial stories —which incidentally drove her to pursue a career in fashion. After 10 years in the industry, and what can only be described as a watershed moment in her personal life, Kijoo decided to deepen her technical and conceptual photography skills by enrolling at Otis College of Art and Design.

In her work, said to have a ‘dreamy quality to it’ by Otis instructors, she captures the beauty of everyday life in different cultures and locations. Her latest project, Desert Gradient, an experiment in which she plays with infrared photography and colors, Kijoo highlights hope, strength, and beauty borne through perseverance in the desert landscape.
