"Township" is a poignant exploration of my childhood hometown, a small and underdeveloped town in inland China. This body of work has captured the essence of a community that is both "outdated" and vibrant - a place where people live their lives on their own terms, far from the hustle and bustle of the rapidly developing outside world. It offers a glimpse into the intimate moments of daily life in this town, but also the warmth and resilience of a community that has learned to thrive in the face of isolation, showcasing the beauty and complexity of a way of life that is too often overlooked in our rapidly changing world.
