Maasai, the Princes of the Earth.

It all started in 2017, when thanks to a fundraiser I was able to pay for the wedding of a young Maasai warrior, Philipo, my best friend in life now.
After 8 years of friendship, I have created a photographic project that documents expressions and intimate moments, frames that show the pride of belonging to a people with ancestral traditions anchored in time, but also the harsh reality of many tribes forced to drink from puddles. I feel an integral part of the Maasai community of Mkuru, they have been among the greatest teachers that life has provided me with.
In 2020 I founded a young no profit organization, of which I am president: Global Roots. We aim to supply water and regenerate soil as many Maasai communities as possible, preserving the cultural roots. We have completed a large water supply project that has enabled the entire community, more than 2000 people, to have drinking water. Last year, due to a severe drought, many animals died last year due to a severe drought.

I was born in Lucca in 1987. In 2017, during a three-month trip in Africa, i discovered my passion for photography, capable of telling about people, territories and cultures.
"Inspired By the People" is my new photographic project. Six years of photography around the world, inspired by people, to show how the diversity among populations is a factor that can unite cultures, allowing us to learn from those who live different customs and traditions.
I have captures the simplicity of ethnicities rooted in ancestral traditions, also focusing on current issues such as the climate crisis and the revolution in Myanmar.
