Redemption

Living in this seemingly normal yet crazy world, we cannot ignore the suppressed pain, vulnerability, and desires within ourselves. Sadly, many of us are unable to heal ourselves, and instead, some secretly go through self-isolation , self-infliction or some other negative behaviors in search of redemption. By showcasing parts of a model's body, I depict the shattered souls of humanity beneath the disguise. This ethereal essence is not just mine or maybe yours alone; it encapsulates the multifarious experiences of countless adults traversing the diverse landscapes of this very Earth.

Xiayu(Renee) Li, currently lives in California, United States. She was Born in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and graduated from the New Media Art Department of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She is a member of the China Female Photographers Association, and her works have won many prize, such as runner-up in "The Portrait Photography Collective", and also get prize from "Mobile Photography Awards", "International Photography Awards", and "PSA Awards". Her works have also been featured on the cover of European magazines "VIGOUR," and have appeared in various European and American magazines such as "VIGOUR," "Selin," "MOEVIR," "MOB," and "6X."
