Exhibition BDA Gallery Berlin 2023: The architectural icons that were built in East and West Berlin in the competition between the systems: Karl-Marx-Allee 1952-55 (East), Hansaviertel International Building Exhibition 1957 (West), Karl-Marx-Allee 2nd construction phase, extension with prefabricated buildings and cultural buildings and public uses in pavilions 1959-1964 (East). The major urban development showcase projects of post-war modernist urban planning and architecture are juxtaposed here with a few expressive photos that capture the essence of the architectural idea.
My motto: architecture offers a door to sightseeing and a gateway to history. In contrast to academic architectural history, I use photography as a research medium! This enables me to intuitively switch on the filter of translation artistically. It is about gaining knowledge and valorisation.

Since many years she is researching the architecture and building history of post war modernism and focuses on the alliies in Berlin. The future project of an online guide “Alliies in Berlin” will be possible with many exhibitions and research projects with public funding in the last 12 years.
