This is the story of a meeting.
Young people who catch my eye, in the street, by their difference, their attitude, their casual way of being there, in this precise place and at this time. A simple encounter, which photography can bring to life.
My camera in hand that day, I have no excuse, the pretext is easy.
So I go and approach them, they agree.
We exchange a few sentences, first names, ages.
18, 19 and 20 years old. I realize it's another generation, 20 years separate us!
I suddenly feel quite foreign to this reality. Questions swirl around in my head. What are they talking about ? What are they dreaming about? What do they aspire to?
I try a first more personal question:
"And you, what do you do for a living? »
- Us?.... [exchange of glances between them]
...We are simply trying to exist...! ".
