Open landscape Vs closed innerscape
Open landscape Vs closed innerscape
Thresholds are edges where the contraposition between elements is possible, where different elements, conditions and dimensions relate. A woman, overlooks the ocean in a half natural half artificial landscape of a "piscina Natural" of Faial Island in the Azores. In this in between space, where rocks melt with concrete to allow people to access and use this edge, the intimacy of this moment contrasts the bigness (as that dimension that breaks our ability of defining and building relations) of the natural landscape that represent our permanent reference. These moments are a close remind of the hierarchy that still should rules our behaviour and approach to this world.
