"A Metamorfose do Corpo" as been through a few stages in the process until it became what it is. It started out as an idea for a solo performance acting as self live portrait. I would be covering myself with different body paint, working as a narrative for every mask or camouflage in life until a certain point where they merge and create a breaking point. This went on for 2 years until it became a draft for a photoshoot, now using someone else's body instead of my own.
The clay doesn’t take an elimination place in the equation, instead by shaping it’s expressions, it enhances lines and imperfections, that at the end of the process starts to look like something else.
In this second series it enhances the women's form and beauty, it empowers our bodies, not only with clay, but with color, to paint our strength, our fierceness, our individuality and our souls.
