A week in the life on the Chobe
A week in the life on the Chobe
From the early morning sunrise on March 26 through the last sunset on March 31, this collection of images represent a week spent on the Chobe river in Botswana. My goal was to capture the many beautiful moments of the various species that live, eat, and prey within this small area.

We all know that life is about the journey, not the destination. It's about experiencing the moment you are in, enjoying the simple things that make you smile.
After working as an photojournalist at three newspapers, I co-founded a nonprofit with a mission to empower girls through photography. Although I had dreamed of being a photojournalist, I took a different career path and created an organization that helped associations achieve their mission. This path allowed me to tap into my passion, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit and work in a field that fulfills a desire to give back and make a difference.
After 20 years away, I bought a new camera and started taking photos again. The passion for storytelling through photography never left. And one thing hasn't changed. My passion. It still lights my photos.
