Garden Eden
Garden Eden
garden of eden,
a garden without Adam and Eve, forbidden fruits and speaking serpents.
It is a garden on the outskirts of Berlin, far from old Tabriz, the capital of Iran's East Azerbaijan province.
A small garden, full of flowers and plants, a small personal paradise where the girl plays. And it was precisely those moments that I captured on camera, the moments when nature is in full bloom.
Garden of Eden, plain and beautiful right outside the door - garden so close... I can smell it.
GabriElla Falana
Author
The photographer Gabriella Falana or the 'disarrangement of reality'.
Born in 1977 in Kostrzyn/Poland, she had violin and choir lessons since she was 6. She sang in the church choir, as one of her many activities.
Photography was more of an adventure for her as a child - being photographed with her friend and her dog in a dark photo studio with mom's money. She already knew the dark curtains from the theater. Her family owned a simple semi-automatic camera that held negative films of 24 or 36 images, and after the photographing, the waiting for the development began.
Her own photographic practice began rather unconsciously - certain motifs and the way of capturing them gradually created a euphoria - a feeling of addiction arose. A persistent addiction. Today, her art means the disarrangement of normality and the storytelling with images... depicting a world of hidden emotions.
In 2018-2020 she studied at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin with Ludwig Rauch and in 2019-2020 she additionally studied 'analog' photography with Pawel Sokolowski in Berlin.
