Ah, how tenacious is this idealised image of the “Perfect Mother” !
The myth of fulfillment and the almost mystical radiance that we attach to mothers remains strongly rooted in our civilizations.
We all know them, the perfect mother does not exist, no more than the perfect children or the perfect family. Motherhood has as many faces as there are women.
Not recognizing yourself in this ideal picture can then be synonymous with failure for mothers.
then wanted to start a work from the mythical symbol of the Madonna to bring my vision of Maternity today and, I hope, to uninhibit women who do not find themselves in these images of unattainable perfection. And try to desacralize this "perfect Mother".
