Intersection Asakusa Tokyo
Intersection Asakusa Tokyo
Asakusa, Tokyo is a town of history and sightseeing that attracts about 30 million visitors annually.
Using an intersection as a fixed point, the camera was rotated 300 degrees, put in time from morning to night, and photographed everything horizontally.
The picture scroll-like photographs appear as a distorted view, unlike the panoramic photographs I have taken.
Although the city is constantly crowded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, I created an empty landscape on a neon night.
Based on the idea that the future and the past exist simultaneously in the present, which is fundamental to physics and Buddhism, I expressed a landscape in which the city, time, and people constantly intersect.
The people who come and go between day and night around the intersections seem like angels.
The ever-changing city, the oldest city in Tokyo, and the newest radio tower.
One wonders how the city's landscape and human society will have changed over the next several thousand years.
