Night and White
A series that takes us into the deep darkness, in winter, with snow and under the stars.
This is the nocturnal world as we see it, a world where other senses take over. The cold or humid air, the roar of the wind or the silence, the mysterious silhouettes, everything contributes to the magic of these sleepless nights. Why B&W ? At night, our eyes are not able to perceive colors. So I wanted to present this nocturnal world as we see it. Without color, our eyes are more focused on differences in light, shapes. Why snow? At the rate at which global warming is taking hold in our southern regions of France, snow is becoming scarce. I feel the urgency to capture these scenes. Watching the snow fall amazes me, and watching it fall at night makes me feel like I'm touching the divine. At night, the air that envelops us is an integral part of the landscape. It is essential. That's why this series puts it in the spotlight and makes it its common thread by showing the snow blown away by the wind.
