North Sea coast at Callantsoog & Petten aan Zee, Netherlands, 28 April 2022

From April 2022, I walk along the North Sea coast of the Netherlands. I walk in stages from the North to the South. Always in the company of one or more cameras. On the Internet (Instagram and FindPenguins), I report on the walking stages with photos.
This series submitted for the Annual Photography Awards is a selection of photos taken on my (second) completed North Sea coastal path walk on 28 April 2022. I walked from Julianadorp to Petten aan Zee. An overcast and cloudy day with a long day stage (almost 28 km) along the coastline and a circular walk in the (enclosed) Zwanenwater near Callantsoog, a dune area with two natural dune lakes.

Photography has long been a mania for me, as a photographer I am self-taught. Professionally, I worked for a long time in a historical archive as a photo conservator: preservation, management and use of audiovisual material in historical collections. Fits well with personal interest in photography, as a medium and historical artifact.

Starting April 2022, I walk in stages along the North Sea coast of the Netherlands. I walk from the North to the South. Always in the company of one or more cameras. On the Internet I report with photos of the stages I walked.
